Want to feel like a princess for a day? This is the place to stay. Plenty expensive but worth the experience. However, if you do ask for a room with a view you will end up looking over rooftops and listening to hiphop music and chatter from the restaurant below on the street. The hotel was very good about moving us to another room when we requested it. Good service. Attached are pictures of both our first room with rooftop view and the second with a terrace and view over Carcassonne. Superb breakfast buffet with even better service staff. I mean this is the best buffet I have ever seen. Something for everyone. Get your map ready to find your room and be prepared for a maze of stairs. But that should be expect d when you are staying in a castle

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent (With an amazing bed and shower!). Both a free and paid parking option were offered, the paid option being marginally closer, but the free was a short 5-10 min walk through the city. The only issue was that the pool was closed for refurbishment but the hotel was in a great location to see the city and I would still definitely recommend it!

Superb service and beautiful interior. Swimming pool with view on the church wall or on a part of the ramparts. Nicely green and very well looked after. Not heated. Terrace lovely with a lot of seating choices in different settings. Top of the terrace offers a magnificent view over "modern" Carcassonne and the hills. Enjoying this view with a nice glass of good wine is a must! Parking is outside the walls and the free of charge shuttle service to the hotel works well. And thanks for all the good advice and info about the history of the ramparts Jerome, we much appreciated it.

A very gorgeous medieval hotel inside the city walls. If arriving by car you have to park outside the walls but it is only a short walk to Charming and lovely hotel with a beautiful garden and amazing views. Very helpful and caring management team. You have to try their restaurant, outstanding service and delicious food. I did a road trip in France and stayed in many hotels but this was the highlight. On another note, i have forgotten an important document in the hotel and i can't thank enough the staff for their patience and tremendous help with getting hold of it. I totally reccomend this superb place!
